Under Shell's Skills4Future programme in Maharashtra, an e-mobility lab was completed in January 2026, giving learners hands-on, industry-relevant training in electric mobility.
The E-Mobility Lab is built from SkyySkill Labs e-mobility training systems, giving learners equipment-based practice instead of classroom-only instruction.
The lab supports Shell's Skills4Future initiative, which focuses on green skills, EV skill development and employability.
Learners gain practical exposure to electric mobility systems, studying how an electric vehicle's battery, controller and motor work together and how these systems are maintained and diagnosed safely. Experiential learning of this kind closes the gap between what is taught in a course and what is expected on a workshop floor, preparing learners for roles such as EV service technician and battery technician.
For learners in Maharashtra, the programme provides an industry-backed entry into the state's electric mobility ecosystem.
