Working professionals in Pune, Maharashtra train at an e-mobility lab set up as a centre of excellence at Tata STRIVE and completed in August 2026 for industry-standard training and research.
The facility is designed around upskilling working professionals, people who already know conventional vehicles or electrical work and need to add electric mobility skills without stepping away from their jobs.
The CoE is located next to the Tata Motors Pune plant, which places training close to a working automotive manufacturing site. That proximity keeps the training grounded in the practices of the plant floor.
Participants take part in applied research at the centre alongside structured training, so the facility serves both skill-building and the testing of new approaches to e-mobility work. The upskilling suits technicians, supervisors and engineers moving into EV service, assembly and quality roles.
For Pune's automotive workforce, the centre offers a nearby place to retrain as vehicle production shifts towards electric models.
