For Udayan Care's youth skilling programme in Delhi, an EV repair and maintenance training lab was installed and completed in July 2025, giving young learners workshop practice on electric two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
The core unit is a 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler EV repairing and maintenance training unit. Working on both vehicle classes shows learners what the two share, such as the battery, controller, motor and wiring, and where a scooter and a car differ in layout and service steps.
Learners practise fault diagnosis, component replacement, wiring checks and basic servicing, building workshop-level skills in EV repair and troubleshooting. These tasks lead towards roles such as EV service assistant and EV maintenance technician.
Electric scooters, e-rickshaws and cars are now a routine sight on Delhi's roads, and each needs periodic servicing by someone who understands high-voltage systems. A CSR-backed youth programme that teaches those basics gives its learners a practical trade with steady local demand.
